Workgroup Central forms the foundational layer of the Knowledge Habitat model, and as such this workgroup embodies the DNA of the entire "Knowledge Habitat" kernel. It is here where other workgroups first spin off. Whereas the other workgroups carry on specialized activities unique to their own space, Workgroup Central group members are cross trained in all tasks and as such form a nexus between all workgroups.
Workgroup Central leads the rest of the Knowledge Habitat workgroups by their high standard interpersonal and leadership skills. Through discussions and consensus with other workgroups, they create a daily and weekly task bucket lists and priorities. Their main task is coordinating, integrating and synchronizing every group's efforts to achieve unified action in pursuit of shared goals. In parallel, they continuously study the challenges inherent in open innovation by capturing and documenting their discoveries towards quality improvement purposes. Because they witness firsthand any coordination inefficiencies, they also form the core of the Knowledge Habitat design and architecture activities.
